Biography

Diana was born in Bogota, Colombia. She attended Chamberlain University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her nursing experience includes many years of serving the special needs pediatric population and in primary care. She served at the Developing Brain Research Laboratory at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., gaining valuable insights into brain health and development. Diana graduated from Frontier Nursing University (FNU) with a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at FNU, continuing to advance her clinical expertise and contribute to mental health care practices. She has served a wide range of patients with various mental health conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Outside of nursing, Diana finds fulfillment as a dedicated wife and mother of four. She has mentored new mothers through La Leche League and actively participates in MomCo (formerly Moms of Preschoolers).

Personal Experience

I am passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness. I strive to provide a safe space for all my patients to make them feel heard and understood. By fostering an environment of empathy and openness, I aim to dismantle the barriers that often prevent individuals from seeking the help they need. Each person’s journey is unique, and I am dedicated to offering personalized support that respects their experiences and perspectives. Through active listening and compassionate care, I aim to empower my patients to embrace their mental health confidently without fear of judgment. Together, we can work towards healing and growth.
